My name is Brandon Hetzler and I
began my martial arts training at the
age of 12. In 1990 I was sent on a
routine deployment to Okinawa, Japan
and the Philippines . This was an
awesome chance for me to train with
many Okinawan karate masters, an
experience most people only dream
about. In 1992 I was sent to Parris
Island to become a Marine Corps Drill
Instructor. This was yet another great
accomplishment at only 20 years old. I
was the youngest Marine to become a
Drill Instructor since Vietnam . While at
Parris Island I trained thousands of
recruits, focusing on drill movements,
physical exercise and hand to hand
combat. In 1999 I made the big move to
California!! After training in Aikido for 2
years, I found a Rickson Gracie school
in my area and started training.
Rickson Gracie is a living legend. He
has been given the title of Samurai by
the Japanese people
After meeting the Legendary Rickson
Gracie at a seminar in March 2003, I
dropped all other things and studied
Jiu-Jitsu as taught by Rickson Gracie
exclusively. I have attended every
seminar that Rickson has done since
2003. I’m a Brown Belt under
Rickson Gracie. A 3RD degree black
belt in Okinawa Goju-Ryu, and I have
trained in Muay Thai and Aikido. I have
over 20 years of martial arts
knowledge. I look forward to passing
on the teachings of Master Rickson
Gracie for the rest of my life!

I grew up chasing adrenalin- Raced
Motocross, Sports, Jumped off some of
the tallest bridges in California, bungee
jumping. Im a creative
creature-artist/musician/producer. We
think in a different light. The part of the
brain that inspires beauty. I live in the
funny and care for friends. I am grateful
for much and happy with a little.
Ive always been involved in combative
arts. Always loved the blood pumping
above normal. Being physical is a must,
to keep aggression in check. Im an easy
going cat, but will defend Family,
Friends and Honor at a drop of a hat. I
am a family man- GOD is my structure-
family is my very being- Music is who I
am- Jiu Jitsu keep me sane and ready
for whatever it takes. I believe
dedication and discipline is what makes
a humble nature human being...which
the Jiu Jitsu demands and deserves. Im
a Brown Bar and Ive been training
under Rickson Gracie since '98 and
can't think of anything that has kept my
attention the way it has. To me... There
is nothing more affective as a single art.
Ive trained in other things - Boxed for
years. Other stand up arts that I try to
forget. Jiu Jitsu has taught me alot, not
just the skills, but things I will use in life-
that i will keep with me for a lifetime. I
am grateful to Rickson and the Gracie
family for sharing this gift.
IF and WHEN you understand it... It will
hold on to you for a lifetime.

Scott Willingham

I have trained in Martial Arts and
sports for all of my life. I last trained
in a traditional Korean style martial
art, Hwa Rang Do for 12 years up
until November 2001. That was
when my brother took me to a
Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu School
where I took a class. I realized at
that moment that it was what I was
looking for and I had found my home.
I have been studying and training
Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu ever sinse,
and will continue for my lifetime.
I am now a training Purple Belt
student and one of the Instructors at
Groundworks Jiu Jitsu House home
of Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu. I have
the privilege of learning the best Jiu
Jitsu in the world, from some of the
best Instructors there are.

Naomi Walker

All Instructors are Belt tested, trained and kept up to date on the lastest changes made by Rickson and Kron themselves. They're members of
the Association and only teach the RGJJA programs and set standards. They have a combined experience of approx. 21 years in the art.
Hetzler and Willingam are official Representatives.
